Sustainability at Grieves Design
Here at Grieves Design, we believe great design should create positive change — not only for our clients, but for the world we share. As a creative studio, we understand that every business decision has an environmental footprint. That’s why sustainability isn’t an afterthought for us; it’s becoming part of how we work, create, and grow.
Our director, Gav, is proud to be a Treeapp Ambassador, supporting reforestation initiatives through our partnership with Treeapp. Through this initiative, every print job we complete contributes to planting trees around the world, helping restore ecosystems, support biodiversity, and offset carbon emissions. It’s a simple idea with a meaningful impact: every project we take on helps give something back to the planet. You can see our tree count at the bottom of the is page.
Alongside this, we are an official recycling partner with TerraCycle. TerraCycle specialises in recycling materials that are traditionally difficult to process and un-recyclable at home, helping divert waste from landfill and reduce the demand for new raw materials. By working with TerraCycle, we’re taking responsibility for our town's waste and finding better ways to reduce our environmental impact — even in the areas that are often overlooked. We offer recycling collections days on Fridays for Ferreo Roche and Kinder packaging.
Our commitment goes beyond partnerships. We’re continually reviewing how we operate day to day — from how we manage materials and suppliers, to how we run our studio and collaborate with clients. We aim to make thoughtful choices wherever possible, choosing more sustainable options, reducing unnecessary waste, and designing with longevity in mind.
We also take sustainability seriously in the digital space. The websites we design and host are powered by solar, helping to reduce the carbon footprint of being online. While the internet may feel intangible, data centres consume significant amounts of energy. By choosing greener hosting infrastructure at grieves design, you're ensuring that your website work is powered as responsibly as possible.
Sustainability is a journey, not a destination. We’re not claiming to be perfect — but we are committed to improving, learning, and holding ourselves accountable as we grow.
